It's snowing!

There will be a virtual blizzard of posts today. Yesterday, I searched a name I often use as a screenname or user name and found a few various accounts that I'd left open. In one, I found a bit of a treasure trove of writings that I'd posted and forgotten about during a time in my life when I thought things were complicated...in retrospect they were nothing compared to the live I'm currently living. So....after posting "Life as I've Lived It Part III" I'd like to share some of those with you...

44. Quiet evenings with good music, candles, an open window and a sense of productivity while writing a paper or getting homework done in the dorms
43. Any time I've gotten a thank you or not of appreciation from a former student
42. My first pedicure
41. Going to fill Andrew's car with red balloons and gifts on Valentine's Day only to find out he'd anticipated the surprise and left a rose for me
42. Getting red roses for my bday from my 'fiance,' Andrew
41. Petitioning for (and getting) a History of African Americans class at Maryville
40.Being given an award for Residence Hall Leadership and being named a 'class agent' for Maryville
39. Passing all of my tests the first time to become a lifeguard
38. Getting my first (paid) job as a swim instructor at the age of 12

37. Fourth of July at Uncle Gary's with the entire family hanging out at the house and in the pool
36. Surprise 16th bday party...I had NO idea!
35. My boyfriend at the time organizing a collection of money and chipping in a lot of his to buy me a CD player for my car for my 17th bday
34. Going to Farmington every year with Mom to visit Aunt Zilla
33. Successfully going without soda for all of 2006
32. Every time I moved into the dorms (after the first time)
31. Getting out of debt, paying off my car, being able to buy what I want
30. Reading all of the truly great books I've read: The Giver, Where the Red Fern Grows...
29. Helping get the boys vb program off the ground at FZS in 1994 and still being part of it 14 years later
28. Quiet days at work without the kids....time to recharge, reorganize and reconnect
27. ANY time I think I've made a difference to a kid or anytime I see them do the right thing when it's tough
26. Kyle. Stayin' over during college, late night calls, etc.
25. Working with Matt as my head coach.....from friends in h.s. to player/manager to colleagues...it's fun being 'old' friends
